Since leaving Panama 30 years ago, Alma has always wanted to work in a helping profession. After working 24 years as a Design Drafter in the Silicon Valley and after her 48th birthday, Alma began volunteering at Sacred Heart Community Services and got hired. She always wanted to work with people and the call to be with the HIV/AIDS community was the strongest, so she applied to The Living Center as the Volunteer Coordinator. Her goal has always been to connect the agencies in our county so they all have information about HIV and community resources available to people living with HIV/AIDS.
